The Bedeilhac cave is one of the last in France still allowing access to prehistoric paintings dated 14 000 years ago.
BEFORE BOOKING FOR THE BEDEILHAC CAVE, YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The conservation rules are strict in order to preserve the place.
Thus, the cave is neither arranged nor lit.
The course (1.5km in total) is rough and must be done in a limited time (1h30).
Therefore the visit is:
impossible for people with disabilities
strongly discouraged for children under 6 years
strongly discouraged for people with mobility difficulties
Walking sticks, backpacks, canes, strollers, baby carriers, photos are forbidden
For young children or people with mobility difficulties, the Prehistory Park
of Tarascon-sur-Ariège is the ideal place to visit with its facsimiles and many fun workshops !
